Cherry Campground sits along Hobble Creek at about 5,200 feet, a shady stretch of maple and cottonwood that softens midsummer heat and flashes color in autumn. The creek runs through the campground and is regularly stocked with rainbow trout, so fishing from the bank is a common morning activity. Trails for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and dirt biking including Left Fork Days Canyon Trail and Kirkman Hollow Trail can be accessed from inside the campground, and longer routes such as Dry Canyon and Wardsworth Canyon begin a few miles up-canyon near Balsam Campground. The site is roughly six miles east of Springville via Canyon Road, past Hobble Creek Golf Course and the fork of Forest Roads 132 and 058; it's a wooded, creekside base for anglers and trail users who want quick access to both singletrack and horse country. The campground contains 18 total campsites: 14 sites that accommodate both RVs and tents (ten single sites, capacity 8, and four double sites, capacity 16) and four tent-only group sites. Those four group sites are intended for larger gatherings three sites (A, C and D) hold up to 75 people each and one site (B) holds up to 50; Group Sites A and B are accessible. Group sites include picnic and serving tables, a campfire ring with benches, cement site pads and large grassy areas for tents. Single and double-family sites come with picnic tables and campfire rings; vault toilets are provided. Fees are paid by cash, check, or Scan & Pay through the Recreation.gov app: single sites $29, double sites $58, group site B $149, group sites A/C/D $199, day-use site picnicking $15, and $10 per extra vehicle. Reservations and changes are handled through Recreation.gov note a $10 service fee applies to most changes or cancellations, late cancellations and no-shows carry additional forfeiture rules (including possible forfeiture of the first night's fee and a $20 no-show fee), and refund requests must be made within 14 days of departure. For facility-specific questions call (385) 273-1100 or consult Recreation.gov for current availability and policy details.
