“Beautiful, quiet, secluded site. Bathrooms were super clean and didn’t smell bad or have bugs. Site has a ton of space and hosts were very nice. Sad to leave. Hope to come back ”

Printer Boy Group Campground sits within the Turquoise Lake recreation area amid a forest of lodgepole pine and subalpine fir, an easy walk from the lakeshore and a short drive west of Leadville on County Road 4. The facility is organized as four dedicated group sites (total campsites: 4), and every site is set up to handle both RVs and tents; Sites 1 and 4 are sized for larger groups (up to 75 people), while Sites 2 and 3 are intended for smaller gatherings (up to 35). Each site includes picnic tables, a campfire circle and grill, and Sites 3 and 4 are designated accessible. Basic services are concentrated and practical: vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection are provided inside the campground, a centrally located cooking shelter is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and a dump station sits just outside the entrance. The recreation options on and around Turquoise Lake are straightforward and well developed for groups: a nearby boat ramp and shoreline make boating, canoeing, sailing and angling easy stocked species include cutthroat, rainbow, brown and lake trout and the 1.2-mile Turquoise Lake Nature Trail links to the longer 6.4-mile Turquoise Lake Trail (trail guides available at the Molly Brown Campground trailhead). The campground also has a playground, ball fields, horseshoe pits and a volleyball court (plan to bring your own sports equipment). Practical reservation rules apply: group-site cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival incur a $10 service fee and forfeiture of the first night's use fee; no-shows are charged a $20 service fee and forfeit the first night's rate, taxes and applicable add-ons (sites are held only until check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival). Refund requests must be submitted through your Recreation.gov profile within seven days of the reservation end date (card refunds return to the original card; check or cash refunds are mailed as Treasury checks and may take 6 8 weeks), and in the event of an emergency closure all fees will be refunded. Note that unmanned aircraft systems (drones) are regulated on Forest Service lands and must be operated in accordance with current Forest Service policy and federal law.
