“Great facility, wonderful staff host from nearby campsite. This spring (2023) was unusually wet and the weather in early June did not comply - but the campground itself was great.”
“Overall it is a very nice campsite. We found out on the 3rd day that we weren’t allowed to park our trailers in the grass. They had to parked on the road. Also I would bring your own sign to hang on the gate saying the site is reserved. ”

Willow Park sits about 50 miles east of Worland on U.S. Highway 16, on the west side of the Cloud Peak Skyway and just outside the Cloud Peak Wilderness. The campground occupies an open meadow ringed by lodgepole pine, with easy access to the Bighorn Mountains' lakes and streams; Meadowlark Lake lies only a couple of miles away (motorized craft allowed at no-wake speeds) and West Tensleep Lake, a few miles to the north, is reserved for non-motorized boats. Hiking opportunities range from short creekside walks to longer trails that enter the Cloud Peak Wilderness, and a short hike east of Meadowlark Lake leads to the historic James T. Saban Lookout. Nearby services include Deer Haven Lodge and Meadowlark Lodge for dining, supplies and fishing access, and the broader Bighorn National Forest around Willow Park supports auto touring, biking, boating, fishing, horseback riding, OHV use on designated routes, winter sports and hunting. The campground contains a single campsite a group site (total campsites: 1) that accepts both RVs and tents and is set up for groups: it accommodates up to 150 people for day-use picnicking and up to 60 people for overnight stays. The site is equipped with multiple picnic and serving tables, grills and a central campfire circle with bench seating; visitors will find accessible vault toilets, drinking water and trash collection on site. Group fees are tiered by party size ($90 for 1 35 people, $110 for 36 60, $130 for 61 120, and $160 for 121 150; 150 is the maximum), a fee will be collected at the campground if your party exceeds your reserved number, and firewood is available for purchase at $6.00 a bundle. Reservations are administered by Gallatin Canyon Campgrounds (office@ceicamp.com); note that refund requests made through recreation.gov are subject to a $10 processing fee and the reservation contractor retains the non-refundable reservation fee and processing fee, which the campground concessionaire cannot return.
