“Nice spot. Quiet campground. There is river access, you just need to go down a bit of a bank. ”
“Large campsites. No electricity, but water available using hand pump at well. Outhouses in poor shape. Clean, but building very old. Staff professional and friendly.”

Cedar Springs Campground sits on the forested banks of the Bumping River inside the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, where the steady rush of river water forms the campground's most distinctive backdrop. Fourteen campsites each configured to accept both tents and RVs are arranged close enough to the water for easy access but sheltered by mature mixed-conifer stands. The river's deep pools attract anglers chasing rainbow, brook and steelhead trout, and the current makes for bracing summer swims; nearby trail access includes the American Ridge Trail, which links to the Pacific Crest Trail and offers long day-hikes, horseback rides and extended backpacking options through meadows, alpine lakes and ridgelines. The wider forest here spans dramatic terrain from glaciated peaks along the Cascade Crest to drier shrub-steppe farther east so expect warm, sunny summers and snowy, clear winters in the surrounding landscape, and plenty of year-round recreational choices such as hiking, fishing, horseback riding, boating and winter sports in the larger district. Practical details are straightforward: all 14 sites come with a picnic table and campfire ring, and the campground provides vault toilets and potable drinking water but no electrical hookups; an extra-vehicle fee of $8 applies. The site is lightly staffed; for general information call (661) 702-1420. Reservations and cancellations follow Recreation.gov policies: cancellations made up to two days before arrival incur a $10 cancellation fee; cancelling the day before or on the day of arrival results in a $10 service fee plus forfeiture of the first night's use fee (including tax and add-ons); one-night reservations cancelled are fully forfeited. No-shows are assessed a $20 service fee and lose the first night's rate and taxes. Refund requests must be submitted through your Recreation.gov profile within seven days after your reservation ends; in the event of an emergency closure, fees will be refunded. The campground is accessed from the Naches area via Highway 410 near milepost 88 and a short turn onto Bumping Lake Road, and it makes a convenient base for short trips to Boulder Cave National Recreation Trail, the Chinook Scenic Byway and day visits into Mount Rainier National Park.
