“We like the spot. Close to town, safe, access to the bike trail.”
“Site was not level. I had to back up so my wheels were not on the pad in order to level. Sewer hook up was higher than my outlet. I had to pull forward before dumping my tanks. Campground was quiet, well maintained, and beautiful.”

Placed amongst towering red and white pines, the Itasca County Fairgrounds Campground received a major renovation in 2023 with the addition of electric, water, and sewer hookups for nearly forty sites. There are ten rustic sites for those looking for a more primitive experience and six grass-field sites for those needing only electric hookup. The fairgrounds are conveniently located within walking distance from downtown and there is a fishing pier and park across the street. The fairgrounds also serve as the western terminus of the famous Mesabi Bike Trail.
