Longest RV site listed: 25 ft.
Cove Group Campground sits at about 6,400 feet on the southern Sierra slopes of Sequoia National Forest, roughly 18 miles from Lake Hume and a short drive south from the Highway 180/General's Highway corridor east of Fresno. The surrounding forest is the same landscape that supports the region's giant sequoia groves, steep canyons and mountain streams; several trails pass near the site for day hikes and routes that follow small creeks where anglers can try for trout. Lake Hume the closest larger recreation area offers swimming, boating, fishing and additional hiking if you want water-based options after a morning on the trail. Because the campground is at higher elevation, plan for cooler nights and variable mountain weather and confirm seasonal road or site access before you go. The campground is configured specifically for groups: TOTAL CAMPSITES: 1 (SITE TYPE BREAKDOWN: 1 Both RV Sites & Tent Sites), and that single site is intended for one group of up to 50 people. On-site amenities include picnic areas, drinking water and a group campfire ring; there are no other individual sites or park-run hookups listed, and the Giant Sequoia Mercantile nearby carries maps, basic camping supplies, books and local items. The site is managed by Rocky Mountain Recreation Company, a division of ExplorUS; for facility-specific information, reservations, fees or seasonal availability call (559) 335-5385, and hosts or the operator can provide comment forms or directions. Wider park activities in Sequoia National Forest include biking, horseback riding, off-highway vehicle use, fishing, interpretive programs and overnight stays in fire lookouts/cabins, but availability of those services varies across the forest rather than at this single group site.
