“Camp site clean and bathrooms are as good as can be”
“No Wi-Fi was concerning. No lighting throughout campground and no service made it very creepy. ”
“We loved this park. Everything was clean. The walk to the water is easy and most sites are on or have a view of the lake. Air conditioned bathrooms was a nice surprise. ”

Kirby Landing sits on the Little Missouri River arm of Lake Greeson a roughly 12-mile long reservoir with about 7,260 surface acres of clear water that invite boating and fishing. The campground fronts forested shoreline where loblolly and shortleaf pine mix with sweetgum and oaks, and bottomland hardwoods line the creeks that feed the lake. That variety of habitats supports abundant wildlife: white-tailed deer, wild turkey, migratory waterfowl and, in winter, southern bald eagles that draw birdwatchers. Trails are a strong feature here: the Bear Creek Cycle Trail runs through the campground for off-road cyclists, the area offers roughly 30 miles of walking, nature and cycling trails (and a longer, 31-mile cycle route and the Chimney Rock formation are nearby), and a short nature trail leads to the site of an old cinnabar mine. Fishing is a major attraction largemouth, striped, spotted and smallmouth bass, white bass, flathead and channel catfish, crappie, walleye and bluegill are all reported and four marinas around the lake provide fuel, boat rentals and basic tackle and picnic supplies for anglers and water-sports enthusiasts (water skiing, tubing and personal watercraft are common pastimes). The campground itself offers 103 sites, and every site is equipped for both RVs and tents with 50-amp electrical service and water at the pad; each campsite also has a picnic table, a ground grill, a pedestal grill and a lantern pole. Two of the named loops include 33 sites in the East loop and 25 at Weston Point. On-site conveniences include flush toilets and showers, drinking water, a swim beach, playground, boat ramp and access to marina services. Hunting opportunities are managed in the Lake Greeson Wildlife Management Area nearby for deer, quail, turkey, squirrel and rabbit, and the broader recreation mix around the lake includes off-highway vehicle use, concession services and private lodges and resorts. Fees, reservation rules and seasonal availability are set by the managing agency; prospective campers should check the park's official page or contact the campground for current rates, reservation windows and any access notices Kirby Landing is reached from Hot Springs by heading west on Highway 70 to the campground access road.
