Olentangy Indian Caverns
These historic caverns are a great destination for shoe interested in local history, as well as the geology of the region and more. The Olentangy Indian Caverns were used by the  used by the Wyandotte Indians, and visitors can learn about this fascinating piece of Ohio history. In addition, visitors can learn about how the caves were formed by an underground river. Olentangy Indian Caverns offer self-guided tours, which have stations filled with information. Alternatively visitors can take guided tours of the caverns. There are many different sections of the caverns that visitors can explore, and there are many more that have not yet been explored.

Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame
This fabulous attraction located in Cleveland is an ideal spot to enjoy learning about the history and evolution of rock and roll. Visitors to the museum are greeted by the distinct architecture of the museum, including an amazing glass pyramid. The museum's exhibits are filled with iconic pieces of Rock and Roll history, including items from Michael Jackson to John Lennon and many more.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park
This national park is a beautiful destination within Ohio. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful Cuyahoga River, as well as the many different natural habitats in the area. The Towpath Trail is a great spot to enjoy some hiking. This trail follows the route of the Ohio & Erie Canal. Visitors can also hike on the Ledges Trail, or visit the Brandywine Falls. Another fantastic activity within this park is the train rides on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, which gives visitors a look into the history of the Cuyahoga Valley.

Serpent Mound State Memorial
Serpent Mound State Memorial, found in Adams County is one amazing example of Prehistoric culture in the United States. The Serpent Mound is almost a quarter of a mile long, and appears to represent an uncoiling serpent. It is also one of the best of only a few effigy mounds in the United States. Experts have proposed that the mound could have been built by the people of the Adena culture, or by the Fort Ancient culture. Archeologists have also worked on nearby conical mounds, which contained pieces from the Adena culture, which dated from approximately 800BC to AD100.

Mad River Mountain
Mad River Mountain is a great winter destination. Mad River has two terrain parks with features to suit everyone able to use the terrain parks. There are beginning, intermediate and expert features within the terrain parks. This ski mountain has 144 skiable acres with a vertical drop of 300 feet. The lift system has 6 lifts and 6 surface lifts. This resort also has a new tubing park, with 10 tubing lanes that are great for everyone. Mad River Mountain is one of the midwest's best family oriented ski mountains.

Lake Erie Shoreline and Islands
Another of Ohio's beautiful destinations is the Lake Erie Shoreline and nearby islands. Along the shoreline visitors will find sandy beaches, plenty of opportunities for water recreation, boating, relaxing and much more. Visitors can take the ferries to visit some of the islands, including South Bas and Kelleys islands. The Lake Erie shoreline also has nearby state parks and other recreational areas where visitors can enjoy wildlife watching, birdwatching, hiking, biking and more.
